With this third release, Quintessentials takes a step into real deep territory. And it’s nighttime in Kontotop City! New deep house talent Vakula (Uzuri, Philpot) presents 4 tracks of hypnotic grooves with enough funk to keep you going. It’s deep and dark in Konotop City, but still lovely. Vakula was born in the 80’s in a small ancient town called Putivl in the north of the Ukraine. His grandmother Lucy played a massive part in his musical education. Lucy was a concert promoter and booked luminaries such as Quincy Jones to come and play in the tiny town. Vakula was lucky enough to get some advice and inspiration towards his own path in music from none other than Quincy Jones.
