For their first release of 2015 Quintessentials are proud to present the debut EP from Bristol duo James Fox (Needwant, Futureboogie, Delayed Audio) and Naomi Jeremy (vocalist for fellow Bristolian
house duo Outboxx). ‘Living Different’ blends stripped back drums, warm Rhodes chords and deep analogue bass, with Naomi’s smooth and soulful vocals providing the perfect accompaniment. The first half of the track develops with driven guitar notes and subtle dub horns before a bouncing Juno chord riff comes in after the breakdown to give renewed drive and energy.

Borrowed Identity has had a strong 2014 with a trio of releases for Fina, Home Taping Is Killing Music and of course Quintessentials, as well as featuring on Ryan Elliot’s stunning Panorama Bar 06 mix. His epic remix toughens the drums up and adds a jacking 909 groove, adding extra dancefloor punch whilst retaining the musicality and vocal of the original.
